Why Me?

To work with me is to enjoy the moment and the place, I like to keep a friendly, fun atmosphere at my photoshoots and capture the beauty I see before me. If you think my style would suit your next photoshoot, let's grab a coffee and talk about how we can work together.

I often use pools or streaks of light to highlight my subjects and draw in the viewer's eye, enticing them to learn more or look closer.

It’s the small details that often go unnoticed or undervalued that I love to photograph throughout any project I work on, and this is one of the things that sets my work apart from other photographers.

Lighting and details are essential in creating the story you wish to tell. These aspects of a photoshoot inspire me and feature heavily in my image-making process to create a sense of narrative.

In my personal practice, I often explore my own interests and emotions. My latest work explores my personal connection with animals through looking at my relationships with the horses at a yard local to my family home.

Personal Projects

These horses gave me a safe space, a place to feel free of worry, or judgment; they were patient, gentle, loving souls who happened to be the best listeners.

I have had a fascination with horses from a young age but had to stop horse riding in my teens, I refound my love of being around horses in the last few years.

The horses at this yard helped me find a space in which I felt able to be authentic, they helped me in my struggle with mental health, especially through the pandemic. Over time I felt I had built strong connections with these animals, each bond different to the last but no less important. I explore this closeness in my work through physical proximity between subject and camera, looking at the spaces as well as the animals, and picking out small details in both the horses and their surroundings.

I hope that my images portray a connection and allow someone who hasn't had the opportunity to form a bond with a horse, a feeling of intimate, peaceful moments such as those I have had the privileged to experience.

Why Animals?

My infatuation for photographing animals stems from my love of photographing people. These have lead me to discover an obsession for lighting and small (often unnoticed) details, that alongside my landscape work aids me to tell the stories of my subjects and my own feelings on the topics I photograph.
